Today, ALL THE WALLS CAME DOWN has been officially released by LA Times ShortDocs—alongside the debut of the music video for the film’s namesake song.
This film was born out of urgency. In January 2025, historic fires tore through Altadena, destroying homes, displacing families, and exposing deep inequalities in how recovery unfolds. What followed was not just devastation, but action. Neighbors organized. Stories surfaced. A community refused to disappear.
ALL THE WALLS CAME DOWN captures that moment—through loss, resilience, and the fight to stay rooted on the land families have called home for generations. The film is personal, immediate, and unfinished in the best sense: it asks viewers to step into the story and help shape what comes next.
The song and music video released today extend that invitation. Written in direct response to the fires and the community’s aftermath, the music gives voice to grief, love, and resolve—offering another way into the story for those who may be encountering it for the first time. People premieres the music video today with a feature about it and vocalist Chantal Kreviazuk, helping bring Altadena’s story to a wider audience.
This release is not an endpoint. It’s a moment of amplification.
As the film continues to screen, spark conversations, and support real-world efforts to stop displacement and foreclosures, we invite you to watch, share, and take action by supporting our Change.org petition to stop foreclosures and support the families of Altadena under threat. The walls may have come down—but the community is still standing.
I see there is a screening tonite but I am unable to attend. Will there be more screenings in LA/Pasadena/Altadena soon? I didn’t hear about this film until the concert the other night.
Thanks for your help.
